INTENSIVE ENGLISH PROGRAMS AT VALENCIA COLLEGE
Intensive English Program
The Intensive English Program (IEP) offers nine language levels, from beginner to advanced. Courses start every two months and are for individuals 15 years old and above. Based on your entry level, you can study anywhere from 14 weeks to over one year. This program is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA).

Virtual English Language Training*
Virtual English Language Training (VELT) is an intensive and online program for residents in the United States and students who live abroad. Students interact in a live virtual classroom with an instructor and classmates. Participants must have a laptop.
Classes are for ages 15 and up and last two hours per day, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (EST), in 14-week sessions with a total of 8 levels. Cost is $1,000 for 14 weeks.**

Youth English Program
Designed for youths 10 years old and up, the Youth English Program (YEP) focuses on English proficiency and American culture in a challenging yet fun environment. There are three language levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Each level takes up to four weeks to complete.
How to Participate:
Participation in YEP is coordinated through one of our educational partners.

Intensive English Program Start Dates 2025
Students must arrive one week prior to their start date for the orientation. They will take an online placement test from home on their computer to determine their level of English proficiency.

Intensive English Program Costs*
- Application fee: $50
- Tuition for each level: $3,200 (14 weeks of instruction)
- Health insurance for F-1 student visa holders: $166 (per month)
- Materials: approximately $100 – $200 per level
*Prices are subject to change. F-1 visa students must register for a minimum of four months of the Intensive English Program (IEP).
