Biotechnology Laboratory Sciences
Biotechnology technicians assist in laboratory experiments and research for genetic modification used to create useful products for medicine, food, agriculture and alternative energy sources. Through this degree program, you’ll gain hands-on experience through lab work and internship experience while learning to:
- Understand the biochemical properties of DNA and RNA, and describe the PCR steps
- Perform techniques relevant to biotechnology
- Follow and demonstrate proper lab safety and documentation

The A.S. degree in Plant Science and Agricultural Technology takes a well-rounded approach to providing these skills. Graduates of this program will be able to perform the following tasks:

- Inspect, diagnose and treat plants for disease and health
