Audio Technology and Sound Production
(Salary Range: $34,000 – $45,000)
In our sound and music technology program, you’ll develop the technical skills, and the aesthetic and sound judgment to handle both the artistic and technical demands of music and sound production. Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared to do the following:
- Work hands-on in the recording studio, live sound stage, film mixing stage and video game design suite
- Configure audio equipment in accordance with the client’s needs
- Operate an audio recording/mixing system using a digital audio workstation for recording and editing music

Digital Media Technology
(Salary Range: $35,000 – $45,000)
With an A.S. degree in Digital Media, you will learn to create persuasive, informational, educational and entertainment-based video, audio and motion graphics content for use in multimedia, web broadcast and live events. Graduates will be prepared for the following activities:
- Create content for high-bandwidth, digital broadcasting
- Design and develop interactive digital media for the web
- Present digital and interactive media projects to a live audience

Film Production Technology
(Salary Range: $32,000 – $40,000)
Our nationally recognized film program trains students for entry-level positions in six major areas of film production including: gripping, electrical lighting, editing, sound, camera and set construction. When you finish your degree, you will have the skills to perform the following tasks:
- Execute pre-production and post-production tasks for the areas of camera, film lighting, editing, sound, gripping and set construction
- Function as part of a film production team in planning and implementing the technical aspects of a film

Graphic and Interactive Design
(Salary Range: $40,000 – $50,000)
The Valencia College A.S. degree program in Graphic and Interactive Design prepares students with the creative skills needed to think like a designer while teaching the tools needed to execute designs properly. From design thinking and the creative process to executing ideas using industry-standard creative technology, our students receive hands-on experience, learn employable skills and build competitive portfolios that prepare them to enter directly into a career. By focusing on solving visual problems in a creative way, Graphic and Interactive Design differs from other Valencia College or industry programs such as social media communication, industrial design (drafting/CAD), video, motion graphics, audio/visual, mobile journalism, web development (server-side web coding), film, or computer programming.

Live Entertainment Design and Production
(Salary Range: $34,000 – $45,000)
With this one-of-a-kind degree, you’ll be trained to work in all facets of the entertainment industry. You will learn to work independently or as part of a creative team in the preparation and production of live shows for concerts, theatre, theme parks and corporate events. Graduates will be able to:
- Design, construct and install scenery for entertainment events
- Operate lighting for entertainment events and themed attractions
- Set up and operate the technical aspects for convention events

New Media Communication
(Salary Range: $32,000 – $40,000)
An A.S. degree in New Media Communication will prepare you to serve in a variety of entry-level new media communications roles in the creative, marketing, journalism and communication industries. Grads will:
- Work with varied mass and new media communication platforms using various techniques in storytelling, journalism and digital media
- Use digital applications to produce and distribute new media projects
- Acquire skills for new media content creation, delivery and social impact
